Music Tuition – Changes and Procedures

The process for the payment of Music Tuition has changed. Parents need to sign an agreement form before commencement of an instrument. This is the agreement between parents and the school, accepting the costs for the tuition. The current charge is £50 per term per instrument.

This information is sent to the Local Authority where an invoice is produced and posted to parents. Payment can be made over the phone or at the Civic Centre, payments can also be made at the cash offices. This is a much safer system and parents have the ease of paying over the phone out of hours.

Please do not send cash in to school.

School Trips

The process of school trips has also changed. Pupils will be given the opportunity to attend some fantastic trips during the year,  spaces are in great demand.

We are currently using the Torfaen Invoice system in the same way as the Music tuition. An agreement form will need to be completed by parents, this is the agreement that parents will pay the full cost of the trip.
Once a form has been submitted an invoice is produced and posted, changes cannot be made except in exceptional circumstances which will be agreed by the Head Teacher.

Pupils who change their mind or identify that close friends are not attending  a trip, is not an exceptional circumstance. Please ensure that you child can attend the trip before returning the consent form.

Thank you for your continued support.

“I am delighted to have been appointed as the new Head Teacher of Croesyceiliog School. It’s a great school and I am looking forward to working with everyone connected with it – students, staff, parents, governors and all stakeholders alike. I am very pleased indeed to have been given the opportunity to build on the school’s many achievements and I am very much looking forward to leading the school through and beyond the next phase of its development.
