Mr Taylor has the following message for the Croesyceiliog School community:

“I am delighted to have been appointed as the new Head Teacher of Croesyceiliog School. It’s a great school and I am looking forward to working with everyone connected with it – students, staff, parents, governors and all stakeholders alike. I am very pleased indeed to have been given the opportunity to build on the school’s many achievements and I am very much looking forward to leading the school through and beyond the next phase of its development. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Logan for all of her hard work, dedication and commitment to the school and would also like to wish her well for the future.”

Video conference with Old Fort High School in Ohio

On Tuesday 5th February 2013, 7SM, Mrs S Mahoney and Mr Jason Howells did a video conference with Old Fort High School in Ohio, USA.  We spoke about Wales under various categories such as traditional symbols, welsh costume, castles, the welsh flag, St. David’s day and Eisteddfod, traditional welsh food, rugby and the millennium stadium.

The Americans entertained us with information about cowboys, American snacks, movies, holidays and they sang The Star Spangled Banner.  We also had a discussion on stereotypes and we discovered that although we come from very different places, we are in fact very similar.

The link up was a huge success and a very enjoyable experience for both parties.  7SM are already planning their link up for next year.
