Governors
Governing Body
The Governing Body have a varied and important role in helping the school to operate effectively. They have three core functions.
1
Setting the strategic direction of the school by agreeing aims and objectives with the Headteacher and Senior Leaders.
2
Holding the Headteacher and senior leaders to account for securing the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
3
To oversee the financial management of the school by ensuring that funding supports the school’s curriculum and development priorities.
The Governors are a group of twenty unremunerated volunteers. They are either appointed by the Local Education Authority, directly appointed by the Governors themselves or directly elected as “ Parent/Carer or Staff Governors. Our names are given below.

A Message From the Chair of the Governing Body.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our community school website. As School Governors we are proud of our welcoming school where we promote diversity and inclusion and recognise that every one of our pupils is an individual. I hope you will find all the information you are looking for… if not please contact the school and we will help you in your search.

As a Governing Body we regularly visit the school to spend time with pupils and staff. Pupil Wellbeing and education outcomes are key drivers for us.
We want our school to be a core element of the community it serves, links with this community are essential. We make these links in many ways including contact with local clubs and organisations and by encouraging these groups and teams to rent our superb facilities out of our normal hours.
Please use this website as a portal to Croesyceiliog School.
