Careers Fayre Success at Croesyceiliog School - A day of inspiration and opportunity

On Friday 14th November we hosted our annual Careers Fair and it was a resounding success, bringing together 22 visiting companies and further education establishments to share their expertise and guidance with our pupils.

Nearly 500 upper phase pupils attended, taking full advantage of the opportunity to speak directly with employers and college admissions staff. We also welcomed a number of pupils from our local Primary cluster schools to experience what the fair had to offer.  

Pupils showed exceptional respect, enthusiasm and curiosity and were highly engaged throughout the event. Visiting companies and college staff were impressed with our pupils' thoughtful questions and how they engaged in meaningful conversations about future pathways, highlighting how well-prepared our pupils were. 

The fair included a diverse mix of local businesses, national companies, apprenticeship providers, and colleges, giving pupils a broad view of future pathways.

Pupils explored opportunities in sectors such as engineering, childcare, finance, digital technology, public services, and creative industries.

College representatives provided valuable insights into courses, entry requirements, and student life, helping pupils consider their next steps.

Representatives from all attending organisations praised the positive behaviour and maturity of our pupils, noting how they made the most of the event. And of course, pupils also enjoyed collecting a wide range of promotional freebies adding to the fun whilst learning about career options. 

A huge thank you to Careers Wales for their invaluable support in organising the event, and to all our dedicated school staff whose efforts ensured the day was a roaring success. The event was truly a team effort, showcasing the strength of our school community.

We are already excited to welcome companies and colleges back next year for another inspiring event, building on this year’s success and continuing to provide our pupils with opportunities to explore their futures.
